Tyvek® and Styrofoam™ Rebranding Notification

New Look... Same Great Products

To support the merging of the heritage DuPont™ Tyvek® and heritage Dow™ Styrofoam™ product portfolios under New DuPont, DuPont is rebranding the entire portfolio with a new logo that creates a uniform look and branding. The new branding is an expression of our New DuPont company and the integrated value that our solutions bring for managing the air, water and thermal performance of commercial and residential buildings.

  • The new branding will be applied to all products in the portfolio.  However, the branding changes to individual product lines will be completed in stages due to planning and manufacturing contingencies. Therefore, not all products will be switched to the new branding at the same time. There will be a period of transition where some products will be manufactured with the new branding and some products will continue to have the heritage branding. 
  • Starting in early 2020, some product lines will be shipping from DuPont production plants with the new branding and the transition of all product lines will occur in phases until June 1st, 2021. 
  • Products will not change in recipe, production, production specifications or delivery. This is a change only in the branding and packaging applied to the products.
  • There will not be any disruption in supply to the market.
  • Custom logo customers will have their custom logos updated with the new branding over the same period and the process will proceed as usual.

Q:  Is the product the same as before?
A:  Yes, the product is the same. Only the product branding has been changed/updated.

Q:  I have Dow™ Styrofoam™ in my warehouse. Do I need to return it to DuPont? Can I still sell it? Is there a timeframe I need to sell it out of my warehouse?
A:  Yes, you can continue to sell heritage Dow branded products until the product is depleted. Products with heritage Dow branding do not need to be returned to DuPont. There is not a timeframe specified by which heritage branded product must be depleted.

Q:  I have product with the old DuPont™ Tyvek® labels and logos in my warehouse. Do I need to return it to DuPont? Can I still sell it? Is there a timeframe I need to sell it out of my warehouse?
A:  Yes, you can continue to sell product with the old DuPont™ Tyvek® labels and logos until the product is depleted.  Products with old branding do not need to be returned to DuPont. There is not a timeframe specified by which old branded product must be depleted.

Q:  I have a Dow product specified into a commercial job package for 2020.  If I receive DuPont labeled product can I use it on the job?
A:  Yes, the product is the same. Only the product branding has been changed/updated. Should you have a need for additional information to ensure a specification is held, please contact DuPont at the number below for assistance.

Q:  Does the new DuPont labeled product have the same warranty as when the product was labeled as a Dow product? 
A:  Yes, the product is the same. Only the product branding has been changed/updated. The same warranties that were in place prior to the branding changes are still honored and the same warranty registration process will apply where appropriate.

Q:  How long will this transition of new products last in the market?
A:  Starting in early 2020, some product lines will be shipping from DuPont production plants with the new branding and the transition of all product lines will occur in phases until June 1st, 2021. It will likely take an additional period of transition time until all legacy stock is depleted in the market.
